Sept. 27, 2007 – Individuals interested in acquiring a basic level of skill in Spanish can register for a course being offered by the University of the Virgin Islands' Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center. Spanish for English Speaking People will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Oct. 16 through Nov. 6, at the UVICELL Center on the St. Thomas Campus.
The course is designed for individuals with no prior knowledge of the Spanish language. Participants will learn how to recognize basic Spanish words, use words in the correct context during conversation, conduct a basic conversation in Spanish and much more.
