What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Sept. 26, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30. This Sunday we will feature music by Joe Bonamassa, Ron Thompson, Johnny Mathis, Frankie Lymon, Harmony Dem, Terri Hendrix and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Sloe Gin," the new release from bluesman Joe Bonamassa. He is one of the leading new artists in the field of modern electric blues, and he provides sizzling guitar work on his latest release.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Resonator" from West Coast blues artist Ron Thompson, who is a highly acclaimed independent blues artist.
We play new music from Arlo Guthrie, Cherryholmes, Tom Russell, Loudon Wainwright III, Mary Chapin Carpenter and more.
We include music from Joe Louis Walker, Sugar Pie Desanto, the Beatles, the Eagles and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Johnny Mathis, Dewey Martin of Buffalo Springfield, Frankie Kennedy of Irish band Altan, Frankie Lymon and blues great Freddie King. We remember bluegrass artist Josh Graves and James Dean on the anniversary of their deaths.
We include music from Terri Hendrix, who will be performing Jan. 23, 2008, along with Lloyd Maines, at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas. We also include music from popular local folk group Harmony Dem, who will be performing at October Sunday on St. Thomas at Magens Bay Beach on Oct. 21.

We give away a copy of the latest release from modern rock band the White Stripes, and we also give away an outstanding Celtic instrumental CD from Scottish fiddler Chris Stout and his Quintet.
