Dear Source:
I agree with Mr. Devine on the issue of monitoring content posted in a public forum. Unfortunately, the public forum has been 'hijacked' by 'advertisers'. And, unfortunately, they are advertising smut and drugs. This type of system has built in controls for monitoring users and content posted. But, the tools need to be utilized. In this case, it seems a system was put into place without the necessary oversight. It is not a good way to start such a potentially positive process. But, the issue is easily rectified and hopefully this a quick lesson learned. While face-to-face debate is powerful, this type of forum is also an effective way of bringing a wide range of the community 'together' to discuss the issues. Hopefully, the decision makers place close attention to this process.
