Miriam Albertha Patterson Dies at 87

Aug. 16, 2007 – Miriam Albertha Patterson, better known as "Alma," of Estate Frydedahl died on Aug. 14, at her residence. She was 87 years old. An active member of the Anna's Retreat Senior Citizens Center for over 20 years, she was also a long time member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by daughters: Pearl Neaves, Barbara Layne and Pamela Gittens; adopted children: Rev. Doriel Connor, Roslyn Scipio, Lynette Wells and Esther Breedy; sons-in-law: Michael Neaves Sr., Neville Layne and James Gittens Sr. She is also survived by her sister, Drucilla 'Lita' James; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 24, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, St. Thomas. The funeral sevice will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, in San Fernando, Trinidad. Interment will be at Roodal Broadway Cemetery, Trinidad.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
