What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

July 31, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5. This Sunday we will feature music by Brandi Carlisle, the Skylighters, Mannish Boys, Neville Brothers, Hank Williams, Ray Lamontagne and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "The Story" from talented young singer-songwriter Brandi Carlisle. Carlisle is a very mature songwriter for her years and the arrangements and melodies help make this a very satisfying listen.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "The Skylighters" from the Skylighters. The band includes some members from the fine Americana band Last Train Home combining their talents with bluegrass virtuosos Mike Auldridge and Jimmy Gaudreau. It makes for great alt country listening.
We play new music from Elvin Bishop, Ray Lamontagne, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, the Mannish Boys and more.
We include music from Linda Ronstadt, Delbert McClinton, the Neville Brothers, the Beatles, Magic Slim and the Teardrops and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of the great songwriter Jimmy Webb and Greg Leskiew, who was a former member of the Guess Who.
We give away a copy of the latest release from rocking blues artist Roxanne Potvin and also give away a copy of a tribute album to Hank Williams featuring a number of star performers doing their renditions of Williams' songs.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
