Brief: Part of King Street in Frederiksted Closed for Block Party Saturday

July 27, 2007 — Part of King Street in Frederiksted will be closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday for the Positive Leaders of the Next Generation Block Party, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department.
King Street will be closed to moving and parked vehicles from its intersection with Midre Cummins Park north to the intersection of LaGrange Road in the area of the Sand Bar. Vehicles found parked in the area will get ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense, the release said.
“The public’s cooperation is essential to the community’s enjoyment of this family-oriented event,” St. Croix Police Chief Thomas Hannah.
