Human Services to Host Hearings on Childcare
The Department of Human Services will host public hearings on St. Thomas and St. Croix for the community at large to review the Virgin Islands biennial State Plan for the Child Care Development Fund. The document in review serves as a guide for the operations of the Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services and will enable the territory to receive federal funding to provide childcare vouchers to low income eligible working parents.
The hearings will be held simultaneously at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 28, on St. Croix, at the DHS building, 3011 Estate Golden Rock, and on St. Thomas, at the DHS office, at the Knud Hansen Complex, Hospital Ground.
