Julia Lanclos Jn-Baptiste Wants to Participate In Constitutional Convention

I am Julia Lanclos Jn-Baptiste #23 on the June 12th ballot. I was born and raised on St.Thomas, and it has always been my home. Yet, living on St.Thomas has not prohibited me from obtaining higher academic achievement. Thanks to the University of the Virgin Islands, I was able to receive an Associates (AA) in Business Management and a Bachelors (BA) in Elementary Education. As a life long learner, I have continued my studies and will be completing, this summer, a Masters in Public Administration(MPA) from Walden, an online University.
Over the past eight years, my career as an educator/teacher has taught me a lot about the younger generation. It has afforded me the opportunity to understand the needs of our children. It has prepared me to be the voice for the younger Virgin Islander. I seek in the Fifth Constitutional Convention to be the voice.
In participating as a delegate, in the Fifth Constitutional Convention, I will be responsible for drafting and creating a living document that our children will inherit and be proud of. The Constitution will affect my family and friends for generations to come. My vision is to insure that our children will have a Virgin Islands they can be proud of and call their home, now, and in the future. The Virgin Islands Constitution will impact the future of these islands.
My focus will be on healthcare which must be affordable and accessible to all, education that prepares our children with a diversity that allows them to compete globally, and land ownership rights that secure and protect local investment.
I know you care about the children, so I ask you to vote #23 on June 12th .
