V. I. Abattoirs Schedule to Change Due to Election

June 9, 2007 – Due to the holiday for the Constitutional Convention Election, farmers are informed that the territory's abattoirs will be closed on June 12, according to a press release from the V.I. Department of Agriculture.
For the week of June 11-15, the St. Croix Abattoir will be accepting and slaughtering animals on Monday, June 11, and Wednesday, June 13. The St. Thomas Abattoir will be accepting and slaughtering animals on Thursday, June 14.
Normal slaughtering days will resume the week of June 18. The department apologizes for any inconvenience.
