June 9, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Interagency Council on Homelessness (VI ICH) will host Phillip F. Mangano, the executive director of the U.S. ICH, at their general meeting, which will take place at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, June 13, at The Palms at Pelican Cove. Mangano and his staff will provide technical assistance and advice to the VI ICH as we reevaluate our progress to eliminate homelessness in the territory, according to a press release from the Department of Human Services.
They will also participate in a series of site visits of homeless shelters and agencies on St. Croix throughout the day on Tuesday, June 12. The sites will include: the St. Croix Mission Outreach, the Lighthouse, Tamarind Tree Clubhouse and the Bethlehem House.
