What's Up on the Next Doug Lewis Show

May 30, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 3. This Sunday we will feature music by Pink Martini, Heather Greene, Maria Muldaur, Jerry Harris, Deke Dickerson, the Byrds and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Hey Eugene," the new release from Pink Martini. Pink Martini mixes jazz, Latin and world music influences to create their own unique sound. The Indie Spotlight CD is "Five Dollar Dress" from singer-songwriter Heather Greene. The CD includes guest appearances by the Tosca String Quartet and fine guitarist Bill Frissell.
We play new music from blues artist Billy Jones, Laura Love, the Lost Gonzo Band and more.
We include music from Maria Muldaur, Al Stewart, Northern Lights, the Blues Project, the Byrds, Will Taylor and Strings Attached, Patrice Pike and more.
We also feature music from local jazz vocalist Jerry Harris, who will be performing at a Partners for Health fundraiser on June 16.
We celebrate the birthdays of Billy Powell of Lynrd Skynrd, Memphis Minnie, Josephine Baker, rockabilly artist Deke Dickerson, and Michael Clarke of the Byrds. We remember Ozzie Nelson and Howard Solomon (owner of the great sixties venue Cafe Au Go Go) on the anniversary of their deaths.

We give away a copy of the latest CD from current popsters the Ditty Bops and a live CD from alternative country act the Doo Wah Riders.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
