May 25, 2007 – The V.I. Constitution 2008 public education project has scheduled its first delegate candidates' forum for 6 p.m., on Friday, June 1, at the Reichhold Center for the Arts.
Potential constitutional delegates from the St. Thomas-St. John District will each be given an opportunity to make introductory statements and to provide responses to questions generated by the League of Women Voters, the Constitution 2008 Education Project and by members of the audience.
Delegate candidates who are interested in participating in the forum are asked to register through the UVI Constitution 2008 Public Education Office by telephone at 693-1240 or 693-1000. Candidates are asked to assemble at the Reichhold Center by 5:45 p.m., on June 1, in preparation for the forum. The forum is open to the public. Forums for the at-large candidates and the St. Croix District will be announced shortly.
