April 19, 2007 – A V.I. Police investigation into a Saturday shooting at the United Shopping Center has prompted Police officials to ask owners of vehicles caught in the crossfire to contact them.
Police spokeswoman Shawna Richards, in a statement released Thursday, said detectives on the case had received information "that several cars parked on the western side of the shopping center, in the vicinity of the dry cleaner, were damaged by gunshots."
However, she said, there has been no reports of damaged vehicles filed with the Police Department.
The shooting occurred at 1:45 p.m. saturday in the vicinity of the Sion Farm Dry Cleaners.
Richards said that individuals who believe that their vehicle may have sustained damage in the shooting or have any information regarding the shooting incident are urged to contact Detective Naomi Joseph at (340)712-6031 or the Crime Hotline at 778-4950.
