Disappointment Over Senators Who Have 'Sold Out'

Dear Source:
I cannot believe that this many senators (14) have sold out, and I am particularly disappointed in Senator Wesselhoft. Yes, she should get "lash" for her vote. Voting "her conscience" in this case flies in the face of overwhelming opposition by the residents of St John. I'm pretty sure I voted for her to represent me and St John. I'm not sure that her conscience was on the ballot. I can understand the vote in ignorance by Cruzan senators, and the St Thomas ones since the developer of this scar on our landscape and flouting of laws and regulations is from St Thomas, but for the Senator-at-Large, a St Johnian to vote this way is shameful. The residents are opposed, the DPNR is opposed, the senate legal counsel is opposed – all ignored. 30 pieces of silver?
I suppose I should not have been surprised that our senators have sold out, they certainly have done nothing to repeal the shameful salary increases they voted themselves in the dark of night at the end of the last legislature. I was hoping for more integrity from this legislature. I am thus far disappointed.
