April 18, 2007 – Lockhart Elementary School will be closed Thursday so that students can attend the funeral of their classmate, Laquina Hennis.
Hennis was found dead in an abandoned house a few blocks from the school last Wednesday.
Daniel Castillio has confessed to killing the 12-year-old girl.
The funeral is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Church Methodist in Market Square.
