Brief: Nominations Being Sought for 2007 V.I. Women’s Hall of Fame

April 13, 2007 — The V.I. Commission on the Status of Women (VICSW) is seeking nominations from across the territory for the 2007 V.I. Women’s Hall of Fame.
According to a VICSW release, the hall is "dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of women, their struggles and contributions to our territory, communities, culture and people."
Nominees will be recognized while alive or posthumously. Categories may include but are not limited to: arts, business, community service, education, government, health, religion and sports.
Applications are available at the Office of the Governor – Public Relations Office and Lt. Governor’s Office (both districts); V.I. Legislature (Office of the Senate President); Denovo Spa & Therapy Center; Plaza Extra (the United Shopping Plaza – East and Mount Pleasant,Frederiksted, and Tutu Park Mall, St. Thomas); Cost-U-Less at Sion Farm and Donoe; Terry’s School Uniforms; Juan F. Luis Hospital; the Schneider Regional Medical Center; and the territory’s public libraries.
