I know your readers will be interested in knowing that we received immediate positive response from Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital to our request for surgical privilages here for Dr. Goldwasser to perform the surgery on Kissee.
Gregory Caliste, the CEO from the hospital, met with me yesterday and
immediately agreed to review the credentials of Dr. Goldwasser in preparation for full approval for the surgery to be performed here on St. Croix, providing that surgery is the final approved course of action.
Our fund raising efforts, including "tips" that were given to the Irish band, Finnigan's Wake, had reached over $12,000 by Tuesday afternoon, and contributions were still arriving at the close of business on Tuesday.
This territory has once again shown its compassion and ability to help one another through this amazing effort. Our thanks to the Source for the coverage you gave this story.
