Dear Source:
As a native Virgin Islander, I am in shock. ever in my life, would I believe I would see such behavior in a V.I public arena. Have we totally lost our pride, and up bringing? Our ancestors must be (Turning in their graves), as the saying goes. You never be on exhibition, the word PRIVATE is taught before you get to high school. We have to speak to our children as a village again, not just family members. THE CHILDREN OF THE VIRGIN ISLAND ARE OUR FAMILY. I hate to hear an adult say "Them DEM to rued cuss to Bad". It seem to me they are doing much more. Where are the teachers, Preachers, and good friends that CARED. I loved my island, and still have a lot of respect for the families I was raised with, and totally praise the teachers in ST.CROIX, Jackson,Reve.ra,Emanuel ,Richards,Andrews,Olivers who cared even when we were adults.GOD BLESS Them. We were not perfect but we were RESPECTFUL. Maybe we stoped praying for our children. Nothing felt better than an adult saying"GOD BLESS YOU", we were. I am 70 and still hear them, and I give it back to our youth. Thank you for letting me vent.
