A Reaction to Nelson's Bill to Repeal the Raises

Dear Source:

Let us put the vitriol behind us and support those in the legislature who would put things right. I am hopeful that the bill to repeal the raises and everything that came with them will reach the floor this Tuesday and will be passed. I am not interested in the machinations of what went on before and who is trying to get credit for what. I am just interested in all of us having a positive attitude, an attitude of forgiveness and gratefulness for the right thing finally being done. Nothing moves fast here, so it should come as no surprise that repeal has not moved swiftly, either. The important thing is that the right thing be done in the end, and let's hope that end is near. A spirit of cooperation and humility accompanied by a focus on working together to solve the many problems our islands face could move us a long way in the right direction. Peace.
