Brief: Police Still Investigating Bomb Threat at Local Attorney's Office

March 2, 2007 – Law enforcement officials are still investigating a small package found at a local law office on Government Hill after a bomb threat was called into the office.
Acting Police Commissioner James McCall said Friday night that the package was about 3 inches in circumference and wrapped in duck tape.
Several agencies responded to the offices of attorney Paul Hoffman around 12:45 p.m. McCall said the V.I. Police Department's Hazardous Device Unit was there along with personnel from Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the FBI and the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency.
Buildings in the area were evacuated, including the Lieutenant Governor's Office.
Hoffman was unavailable for comment late Friday.
