Public School Registration to Begin May 16

March 1, 2007 – Registration for the 2007-2008 school year for St. Croix students entering grades 1-12 will be held from May 16 through June 26. It will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Office of Pupil Personnel Services located at the Theodora Dunbavin Complex in La Grande Princesse, according to a press release from Acting Insular Superintendent of Schools for the St. Croix District Jewel Ross-Brathwaite.
Parents wishing to register a child are required to provide the following documents: the child's original birth certificate; V.I. immunization card with clearance form from the Charles Harwood Hospital attached; proof of parent's physical address (i.e. driver's license, voter's ID, WAPA bill); the child's Social Security card; the 06-07 year-end report card or transcript (for students in grades 9 through 12) and an affidavit of legal guardianship if the student does not reside with parents.
Parents are advised that students will not be registered without the presentation of a V.I. Immunization Card with the attached blue clearance form issued at the immunization clinic of the Charles Harwood Memorial Hospital. Immunization Clearance forms are a mandatory requirement of the registration process and no exceptions will be made.
