Oc.t. 7, 2006 — The Humane Society of St. Thomas will hold its annual all day festival to celebrate the human-animal bond beginning at noon Sunday Oct. 15 at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort.
Animals and their families are invited to join the fun and games to raise money and awareness for the Humane Society.
Activities include various vendors selling their wares, music, dog contests, dunking booth and tons of animal camaraderie! There is no entrance fee, however, there is a $20 donation for participants to enter their pets in a variety of contests such as Best Trick and Best Costume. All supporters will have a chance to win prizes for $5 each ticket. Prizes include round-trip airfare with Cape Air, plus much, much more. There will be music as well as yips and yaps from the adorable pups that will be on show in the garden.
Sponsors include Centennial, Bolongo Bay Resort, The Buzz 104.3 WZIN-FM, and Cape Air. The Buzz will provide a live remote and Iggies will have a special Beach BBQ with100 percent of proceeds benefiting the Humane Society.
Shelter staff and board members will be on hand to provide information about the adoption process, tips on pet training, information about the new shelter and other animal related topics.
