An Old Friend Mourns Greg Bennerson

Dear Source:
I was in a very good mood when I sat down to read the St. Croix Source. As I scrolled down and read the headline " Friends, Colleagues Mourn Loss of Lt. Bennerson," I was in total shock! I sat staring at Greg's picture with tears in my eyes, for about 20 minutes before I could even move. I knew Greg from since I was in elementary school. He always had a smile and jolly personality. My best memories are of him playing the steel pan, yeah mon, wonderful music to my ears. I have been living in the mainland for over 25 years, but every time I visited home and ran across Greg, we always greeted each other with a hug and lots of laughter. He was a true Virgin Islander and friend. You are truly missed.
On behalf of the Suarez Family in Fredericksted, condolences to the Bennerson Family. May the Almighty bless your family now and always. My friend, rest in peace and one love.
