Noelene Jeffers Receives Honors from Georgetown

May 26, 2006 – Noelene Kimiko Jeffers of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands was named a Peter F. Krogh Scholar in Foreign Service at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service commencement activities last weekend. She graduated with a bachelor's degree cum laude in International Politics.
The program is guided by the mission of the school to "provide the highest quality international affairs education, pursued in the spirit of inquiry and with a concern for values." The School of Foreign Service Scholars Medals were given to members of the graduating class who fulfilled the requirements of the rigorous and highly selective program. She was also awarded a Deans' Citation for her outstanding contributions to the service of the school. Jeffers was one of 1,679 students to complete undergraduate studies this year as a member of Georgetown's class of 2006.
She attended Good Hope School in St. Croix.
"Noelene Jeffers represents some of the most-talented student scholars at Georgetown University," said Robert L. Gallucci, dean of the School of Foreign Service. "We are extremely proud of all of our graduating students and wish Noelene continued academic, personal and professional success."
