'Liberated' Held Over at CCT

May 24, 2006 – Due to popular demand, Caribbean Community Theatre (CCT) will hold over its production of "Liberated," a Crucian comedy written by St. Croix native Marvin E. Williams. This world premiere will be performed at 8 p.m., on Friday and Saturday, May 26 and May 27, at the Caribbean Community Theatre, #18 Estate Orange Grove, Christiansted, St. Croix.
Eileen Bishop Des Jardins directs the humorous story of two men and two women who are trying to figure out how to stay "liberated" while still making the marriage commitment. In the playwright's words: "Liberated explores the fear that drives male sexism and the fearlessness that propels female self-agency."
The cast consists of Rodolfo H. Jacobs II, Jelani James, Oceana James, and Marlene Whitney. Michelle Greene is assistant director and stage manager, and Chester Delacruz is the set designer and scenic artist.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults; $8 for students. Note that this is an adult comedy and not recommended for children under age 13. No reservations are accepted, so arrive early for best seating.
