Galiber was elected a Fellow in 2004 for achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care. A magna cum laude graduate of Howard University, Galiber earned a medical degree from Indiana University and completed residency training at Indiana University Medical Center. He then pursued subspecialty training in cardiology at the University of Kansas.
Galiber lives in St. Croix with his wife, Yvonne, and daughter, Dominique.
The American College of Physicians (ACP) is the second-largest physician group in the United States. Membership includes more than 116,000 internists, related sub specialists and medical students. Internists are specialists in the prevention, detection and treatment of illnesses in adults.
Fellows are elected upon the recommendation of their peers and the review of the ACP's Credentials Subcommittee. They often use "FACP" – Fellow of the American College of Physicians – after their names in recognition of this honor.
