Friends of V.I. National Park Hosts Earth Day Event

Friends of V.I. National Park Hosts Earth Day Event
Friends of Virgin Islands National Park and other participants are joining forces to celebrate Earth Day 2006. The festivities will begin with an Earth Day Environmental Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Friday April 21, at the National Park Ball Field in Cruz Bay. This event is free and open to the public.
There will be environmental and recycling demonstrations, science exhibits, eco-activities, games, environmental story time a petting zoo, a simulated archeological dig for kids, a gardening workshop and much more. Pan Dragons will provide the music and there will be snacks for the kids. All St. John schools are invited to attend.
Volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. Those interested in volunteering should contact Kristen at 779-4940.
