Leroy Sonny Davis Dies at 66

March 24, 2006 – Leroy Sonny Davis, better known as Sonny Davis, dies on March 23, at the age of 66, in Florida.
He was born in St. Thomas and worked at the Department of Tourism in St. Thomas and in the New York office. Davis was also a gifted singer who sang all over St. Thomas, New York and Atlanta.
He is survived by his son, Alex Lanclos; daughters: LaToya Davis and LaWanna Lanclos; brothers: Luther, Alvin, Edwin and Keith Davis; and sisters: Ena Lightbourne, Elsie C. Phipps, Evelyn Davis, Joycelyn Williams, Myrna Talbot and Karen James. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, special friend Albertina Simmons, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services are pending.
All arrangements are by the Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
