St. John Blues Festival This Weekend

March 22, 2006 – St. John Blues Festival producer Steve Simon has announced that Mississippi blues harp legend Carey Bell will be performing Saturday night, March 25, as part of the 4th Annual Coors Light St. John Blues Festival.
"Carey Bell is one of the all-time great blues harp players, who has performed with Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Billy Branch, James Cotton, and many other blues greats," Simon said.
Grammy Award nominee Bell will be performing with the B.B. King Lucille Award-winning Big City Blues Band, in addition to the Nighthawks and Chris Carsel and the St. John Blues Boys.
Bell will be filling in for previously scheduled headliner James Cotton, who has been hospitalized in Texas due to complications from throat cancer and pneumonia.
