Alert: DPW Announces Upcoming Road Work on Long Bay Road

March 16, 2006 — According to a release from the Department of Public Works, road work on Route 30, Long Bay Road from the Lover's Lane intersection to Mandela Circle, will begin Saturday morning at 7 a.m.
Preparations for the paving of the additional lane on the north side of Route 30 will begin so that the "Temporary Maintenance of Traffic Plan," which was developed to convey traffic around the Kanal Gade Box Culvert repair, can proceed.
DPW advises that no parking will be allowed on Route 30 on Long Bay Road along the Pearson Housing Community, from Route 314 Lover's Lane intersection to Mandela Circle at Route 313 on Centerline Road.
The work will begin on Saturday and continue Monday, March 20, with the paving of the additional lane.
Parking restrictions will be in place for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completed within 90 days.
