St. Croix Public Schools Will Be Closed on Monday

Feb. 24, 2006 – St. Croix District public schools will be closed on Monday, Feb. 27. Faculty and staff will be participating in intense professional development training sessions, according to a press release from the Department of Education. All faculty and staff of St. Croix public schools are to report to the St. Croix Central High School campus at 8 a.m.
The theme for the sessions is "Creating an Inclusive Community of Great Thinkers Through Achievement, Assessment and Accountability." The training will help the district to meet the federally mandated "No Child Left Behind Act" and help with implementing the territory's Standards and Accountability Initiative.
