Arts Alive Presents Ruthie Foster

Feb. 17, 2006 — Ruthie Foster, who sings a hybrid of blues, gospel and folk music, will sing at for Arts Alive's Concerts in the Garden March 1 at Tillett Gardens.
Critics have compared Foster to Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin.
Foster has performed at The Strawberry Music Festival in California, the Vancouver Folk Festival, the Willie Nelson Picnic, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Waterfront Blues Festival in Oregon, the Austin City Limits Festival, and several others. Her latest CD, "Stages," was released in 2004.
Tickets for the concert are $30 and are available at Tillett Gardens in the Kazooti Clay Studio from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
