DPW Will Have Meeting on New Projects

Feb. 7, 2006 – The Department of Public Works announced that there would be a joint public meeting to present two upcoming projects in the Market Square area on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 6:30 p.m., at the Christ Church Methodist main chapel in Market Square.
"The reconstruction of the Sanderilla Thomas Bungalow by the Department of Agriculture is scheduled to commence within the next several days and the rehabilitation of the Rothschild Francis Square, funded by the Federal Highway Administration through the Department of Public Works, will be advertised for bids in the near future. All of the permits for the Rothhschild Francis Square project have been approved, and the department is presently preparing documentation to request authorization from the FHA to advertise for bids," Acting Commissioner George Phillips stated.
The meeting will afford the public an opportunity to ask questions, voice any concerns and receive first hand information regarding these two projects.
