Friends to Have Annual Meeting and Speaker

Friends to Have Annual Meeting and Speaker
The Friends of the Library will have their annual meeting on Friday, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m., at the Elaine I. Sprauve Library. This year, along with electing a new board, the Friends will have nationally celebrated author Homer Hickam speak. He is the author of "Rocket Boys" (produced as the film "October Sky"), "The Keeper's Son," and "The Ambassador's Son." Also present to sign copies of her book will be Ophelia Powell Tores author of "Caribbean Poetry," and "Folktales and Short Stories." Refreshments will be served.
The Friends is a 501-c3 organization who support and promote library programs. Gifts and grants are always appreciated and are tax deductible.
