Form W-2VI is Available at I.R.S.

Jan. 3, 2006 – Director of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue Louis Milton Willis announced that the bureau has form W-2VI for 2005. The form is the U.S. Virgin Islands Wage and Tax Statement and is available on all three islands. Employees are required to make a written request for the form and include the employer identification number and the amount requested. Forms will not be released to taxpayers without a written request because of fraudulent W-2VI's received in the past.
Willis reminds all Virgin Islands employers that they are required to provide the forms for employment in 2005 to every employee by Jan. 31, 2006.
Questions should be directed to Marcella Somersall at 714-9303.
