VIWMA's Concordia DIY Site Closed

Dec. 8, 2005 – The VI Waste Management Authority reminds residents of the Concordia West area that the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Used Oil Collection site remains closed and is asking residents to refrain from placing containers of used motor and cooking oil at the site. The DIY Collection site at the Department of Public Work's Anna's Hope Compound is fully operational and accepts used motor oils from residents on Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The VIWMA's collection sites are for the use of residents who change the motor oil in the cars, lawn motors, boats and other motorized equipment. Residents can bring up to five gallons per month per person to the DIY sites, which are located as follows:
St. Croix: Public Works Compound, Anna's Hope
8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
Concordia
Temporarily Closed
St. Thomas: Public Works Motor Pool, Sub-base
7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Bovoni Landfill
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
St. John: Susannaberg Transfer Station
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday
