Cancer Institute Seeking Works from Local Artists

Dec. 8, 2005 – Local artists have a chance to permanently display their art in the new Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute at Schneider Regional Medical Center.
In 2003, the hospital made a similar call to local artists, and some works are on permanent display in the hospital, said Rodney E. Miller Sr., president and chief executive officer of the medical center. "The artwork has been an inspirations to patients as well as visitors and adds a great atmosphere to the hospital today," he said.
One of the goals set by the cancer center's architects is to create a positive environment for patients and guests.
All artists whose works are chosen for display will be publicly honored and invited to the dedication ceremony of the cancer institute on Jan. 17, 2006.
