St. George Botanical Garden Will Have Two Christmas Events

Dec. 2, 2005 – The St. George Botanical Garden on St. Croix is having two Christmas events. There will be a Christmas Gala at the Garden on Friday, Dec. 9 that begins at 6:30 p.m., called A Victorian Christmas. The festivities include a silent auction with prizes such as an elegant dinner catered and served by GSBB Catering and Chef David Trask. Roger Morgan will auction off 10 live decorated Christmas trees, a replica of Great House and a Fly-Away Adventure trip for four. Patrick Baron, Judi Fricks and Voices of Praise will provide the music. This is the Garden's biggest fundraiser of the year. Reservations are required for this event.
The second event is called Christmas Spoken Here and will take place on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include: Santa's workshop with photos of the kids with Santa offered, local craft and food vendors; community and school choirs performing seasonal songs; a nursery sale; guided tours of the garden, a White Reindeer flea market; and the Jingle Bar. Pay at the entrance to the garden.
