Community Alert: Work on Main Street to Obstruct Traffic Sunday

Nov. 19, 2005 – Traffic on Main Street from the Grand Hotel Building east to the Wet Willie's intersection will be obstructed while work is being done in the manholes.
According to a release from Elvin Fahie Sr., deputy police chief for St. Thomas, the Water and Power Authority will be installing new lines in the manholes along the route.
The work will take place between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday.
The release said traffic will be able to flow during that time, but on a limited basis.
Flagmen are expected to be directing traffic.
