Car Raffle to Raise Money for Scholarships

Nov. 2, 2005 – On December 21, a ticket will be drawn and somebody will be the new owner of a 2005 Ford Escape. Raffle tickets, which cost $10, are on sale now through the St. John School on Gifft Hill and will be sold through participating island businesses as well. Contact the school at 776-6595 to purchase tickets or find out more about the SUV raffle. The grand prize is a silver 2005 Ford Escape which has been provided by the Sandy Hill and Thomas H. Dittmer Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the St. John School on Gifft Hill’s scholarship fund, which this year awarded more than $200,000 in financial aid to its student body. Over 50 percent of students attending the school receive financial aid.
