St. Croix Superintendent of Schools, Terrence T. Joseph, on Monday issued a terse statement regarding the vandalism and destruction that occurred at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School over the weekend.
Joseph said, "It seems that we have evolved into a sick community when there are persons amongst us who will resort to destroying the instrument that educates our students, There should be a collective outburst and demonstration against this antisocial behavior by the entire community, and the irresponsible "good-for-nothings" dealt with harshly and to the fullest extent of the law.
The appalled St. Croix Superintendent added, "When we destroy school facilities, we retard the progress of our students, our community and the future of these Virgin Islands."
Mr. Joseph asks the assistance of members of the community in reporting all incidents of vandalism at our public schools and providing police with any information about the crimes.
