Community Alert: Water Pressure Low in Some Areas

Oct. 12, 2005 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has reported that several burnt motors on the main pumps in the Richmond pump station have created areas of low water pressure from Estate Richmond to Kingshill.
Customers experiencing the lowest pressure will be residences and businesses located in the higher elevation areas of Estates Richmond, Golden Rock, Orange Grove, Beeston Hill, St. John, Princesse and Dolby Hill.
Water Division maintenance personnel are making the necessary repairs and anticipate that water service will return to these areas by mid-afternoon Wednesday, according to a release from the authority.
