Tropical Storm Rita Causes Cruise Ship Cancellations

Sept. 19, 2005 – The West Indian Company Limited Monday announced the cancellation of three cruise ships scheduled to call on St. Thomas this week. The WICO release stated that Tropical Storm Rita's passage through the central Bahamian islands is the cause.
Tuesday's scheduled arrival of Caribbean Princess has been cancelled, and the Carnival Glory will arrive at noon and depart for San Juan at 8 p.m. On Wednesday, Carnival Victory and Disney Magic are also cancelled, but the Zuiderdam and the Mariner will be in port as scheduled. Carnival Legend and the Explorer of the Seas will arrive on Thursday as scheduled.
