Harold Chinnery Sr. Dies at Age 86

Sept. 15, 2005 – Harold Chinnery Sr. died on Sept. 5 at age 86 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital. He was formerly of Jost Van Dyke.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Waters Chinnery; son, Harold Chinnery Jr.; daughter, Judith Chinnery; and adopted children: Patricia, George and Kevin Jackson. He is also survived by five brothers: Walter, Lawrence, Dennis, Egbert and David "Boysie" Chinnery; six sisters: Edith, Clarice, Joyce, Berecia Chinnery Penn, Daisy McNulty and Violet Fenuku, as well as 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Other survivors include many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a second viewing on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Christ Church Methodist, Market Square, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Chinnery family plot, Jost Van Dyke.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
