Aug. 9, 2005 – Humane Society of St. Thomas President Joe Aubain and Anna Clarke, former president, announce in a press release, "Genips for Crits II" hosted by the Toad and Tart English Pub in Smith Bay on Sunday, Aug. 14, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
"Genips for Crits" is a fun-filled event for local residents and visitors. In addition to buying genips, there will be a BBQ lunch from 11 – 3 p.m. featuring hamburgers, veggie burgers, and chicken with all the condiments and great side dishes. There will be adorable cats and dogs for adoption, "toadally" cool "genips for crits" t-shirts for sale, pet dishes, other pet products and delicious ripe genips. This year, the fundraiser will segue into the evening. Outside tables and chairs will be set up surrounded by Tiki lights, and a BBQ dinner featuring steaks and swordfish will be served from 6 – 9 p.m., accompanied by live music from the "10K" band playing great rock 'n' roll for listening and dancing.
