Gemological Institute of America Holds Meeting
A meeting of the Caribbean Islands Alumni Chapter of the Gemological Institute of America will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, 6 p.m. at Pilgrims Terrace, Lytton's Fancy #8 GH, Mafolie Hill. Beverages and appetizers will be available at a cash bar. This is an open invitation to GIA Alumni, jewellery professionals, corporate sponsors, professionals, and the public. The agenda will include strategic planning with special emphasis on fund-raising for scholarships to support the upcoming GIA classes. An update on registration for the courses will also be provided.
Shawn O'Hara, who is a legend in the Caribbean Islands' gemstone and jewellery business, will make a special presentation.
