July 13, 2005 – Senator Celestino A. White, Sr., is now urging Veterans in the Territory to contact his office to obtain a preliminary application for housing at the new Veteran Center at the former VI Hilton Hotel.
I am pleased to announce that my office has received approval from the Wilder Balter Partners, LLC, the management firm for the Veteran Center, to distribute the preliminary applications and information sheet describing the amenities at the 151 apartment housing at "Amalie Pointe", site of the former VI Hilton Hotel. Veterans must also call 776-7723 for information regarding eligibility and to register their interest, according to Senator White.
Twenty Three (23) bedrooms units will be available by November with the remaining 1 & 2 bedrooms being available in the spring of 2006. A brochure will be ready in approximately 45 days for your review and a representative will be on island in the fall to further answer any questions or concerns you might have, and to assist you with the application process, further stated Senator White.
I remain steadfast in my commitment to insure that all Veterans in the Territory who might be income eligibly are made aware of this opportunity.
