The Forum and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources/Division of Libraries will be holding workshops on all islands this summer to teach 3rd and 4th graders to create a story with illustrations and to turn it into a published and bound book that they can take home at the end of a two-hour session. There will also be two training sessions for teachers and those interested in conducting such workshops in the future. Each session is limited to 20 children. To preserve a space in advance call Ina Isaac at 773-5715. Workshops will be at Florence Williams Library, Christiansted, St. Croix on Monday, July 11, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. or on Tuesday, July 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. There will also be a Training Session on July 12, 1 to 3 p.m. There will be two workshops at Athalie Petersen Library, Fredriksted, St. Croix on Wednesday, July 13 at 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and at 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Call Denise Ellis at 772-0315.
