I just wanted to say that it brought back memories, real enjoyable memories, when I read the article about John Wayne's visit to St Croix. I was about 15 or 16 years old when I met John Wayne at Antilles air boats in Water Gut. At the time a few of my friends and I were in the area fishing when Mr. Wayne disembarked from the goose, as he entered the then terminal he took the time to stop and shook my hand and held a brief conversation with me.
I also had the opportunity to meet Ginger Rogers.
Thanks for the article on Maureen O'Hara it sure brought back memories of my teen years on St Croix when I read the article.
