Youth Employment Reminder

April 24, 2005 – The V.I. Labor Department has issued a release reminding the community that youth between ages 14 and 18 must have a Child Labor Certificate in order to be employed in the territory.
The release further stated that the V.I. Code lists occupations in which minors may not be employed, and that it is a parent's responsibility to be informed about the law.
